Job overview Salford Royal has a large anaesthetic department; there are 66 consultant anaesthetists and 4 associate specialist anaesthetists and as a major training hospital in the North West School of Anaesthesia, the hospital hosts trainee anaesthetists of all grades with an active teaching programme under the supervision of 2 Royal College of Anaesthetists Tutors.
